SportPark official opening

SportPark will be 'officially' opened next week (23rd June) by Lord Coe and Tom Daley.

Although the opening ceremony in the playground and energy cafe area (11.15 -12.15) will be restricted to invited guests only, tenants will be able to participate in a number of sporting activities taking place around SportPark.

In order to accommodate our VIP’s there will be changes to car park and catering arrangements for the day that SportPark staff are asked to note.

Invited guests will be issued parking permits for the SportPark car park. Staff are asked to park in Holywell Park and/or the multi-storey car park, as space in SportPark will be restricted on the day. Those staff with mobility challenges are advised that they can seek a special permit from reception in advance of the day.

As the opening will be taking place in the energy cafe and playground area this area will not be available for service or as casual meeting space on the morning of 23rd June. A breakfast service for SportPark tenants will be offered outside the building. A reduced lunch service will also be provided outside until the main café area reopens at 12.30pm.

Large scale fun...

Ever wanted to play giant Jenga, Connect 4 or chess?

Well now you can! The over-sized games are ready for use, simply ask at SportPark reception to book them out, they are located in the changing block, the only requirement is that you return them once you have played, there is no charge for their use

The activity lawn is in need of more activity, why not use it for a game of football or volleyball, cricket or hockey, no cost to use it simply bring your own equipment, you could challenge your work colleagues or perhaps another floor?

To avoid confusion just ask at reception if anyone is using the lawn before planning your game!
